Aswe move into the fall of the year, we spotlight Timothy Warner as our Attorney of the Month for this issue. Tim is a mem- ber of the rm Hu man, Hunt, Klym & Warner located in Westlake. He fo- cuses his practice on business, employ- ment law and plainti civil litigation. He graduated from Syracuse University College of Law. We’re excited to share
his story with our readers this month. We welcome back Kathryn Russell of Robert Brown Immigration as our on- going immigration columnist. In this is- sue, she discusses how the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services policy changes announced in July will expose applicants to new risks. Our coverage in the area of class actions includes an article from Nicole Fiorelli of Dworken & Bernstein describing how email has found its way into Rule 23 class actions. In addition, attorney Jim Timmerberg from the same rm explains in detail why a class certi-
cation is not the determining factor on liability.
Marc Dann o ers his continuing observations on the protection of
consumers. It is his stated belief the people responsible for watching out for the general consumer have “abandoned their posts.” One of his major areas of concern is the current state of consumer lending practices.
In this issue, I would like to introduce Michael Zinn as a contribut- ing editor for our magazine. Michael is a recognized digital forensics and cybersecurity expert. He holds many industry certi cations and we welcome him to our growing list of authors. His article addresses the topic of electronically stored information and when it may not be self-authenticated.
