Welcome to the rst issue of the New Year. We are starting out 2019 by celebrating attorneys who are notably working to better the First Coast community. Please see our 2019 Com- munity Service Awards. A great example is the Freed to Run initiative started by Michael Freed; with the matching contribution from Baptist, raised $400,000 for the North East Florida Legal Medical Partnership.
I am very proud to introduce a new rm Papalas & Gri th, PLLC with 25 years of combined experience in eminent domain law. Attor- neys Manny Papalas and Chuck Gri ths are welcomed additions to the magazine. It was a joy working with them on this month’s cover story.
We have a great article this issue on mild traumatic brain injury, I am very pleased to have Patty Mitchell, RN as an on-going contributing editor o ering medical insight to personal injury and medical malprac- tice.
I’m also pleased to include a special feature story on Josh Shilts. Josh has years of experience in forensic accounting, so his Professional Ser- vice Spotlight will o er great insight for attorneys in a number of prac- tice areas.
Finally, this month we welcome Shannon Harberle of Hart & Har- berle as our First Coast Rising Star. ank you, Shannon for sharing your passion with criminal defense with our readers.
As always, we welcome nominations, article submissions and your thoughts.
