gued in court in a Robeson Court in Decem- ber that his constitutional rights were violat- ed when alibi witnesses and evidence of his innocence were not thoroughly presented at his 1996 trial. Green is represented by North Carolina Center on Actual Innocence (NC- CAI). Superior Court Judge Winston Gil- christ said he would rule at a later date. His optionsincludedismissingtheclaims,order- ing an evidentiary hearing, or overturning
the conviction.
e NCCAI is also representing Robert
Bragg who remains in jail for a 1994 murder he said he did not commit. (Attorney at Law Magazine NC Triangle Vol. 5 No. 4.) “We are con dent in Bobby Bragg’s innocence and have re led claims in Watauga County Superior Court,” said Chris Mumma, the center’s executive director. “We hope for another chance to win his freedom in 2019 through an evidentiary hearing or the Dis- trict Attorney’s objective consideration of the new evidence.”
